My dads Impossible peach cobbler
My dad swears this cobbler belongs on every holiday dessert table and once you taste it, you’ll agree. Simple, classic, and for the win.

- * ½ cup sugar
- * 1 cup milk
- * 1 cup self-rising flour * or Bisquick*
- topics:
- * 1 stick butter
- * 2–4 cans peaches in heavy syrup * depending on pan size*
- * ½ cup sugar for topping
- * 1 tsp nutmeg
- * Cinnamon to taste
Preheat oven to 350°F
In a bowl, whisk together ½ cup sugar, milk, and flour until smooth. Set aside.
Melt 1 stick of butter and pour into a baking dish.
Add peaches (with syrup) directly into the butter.
Sprinkle peaches with ½ cup sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon
Pour batter evenly over the peaches do not stir.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour, until golden brown and bubbling.
Let cool slightly. Serve with ice cream.
